Resident Stage Manager

Les Reinhardt

Les Reinhardt has been the Resident Stage Manager/Internship Coordinator for Ballet San Jose since 2003.

While at the ballet Les has restored/re-created props for Blue Suede Shoes, Giselle and Romeo & Juliet. She has designed and built props for Middle Kingdom — Ancient China, Giselle, Pirates of Penzance and Out of Africa. She also strives to work with local area colleges and universities to offer more students the chance to be a part of the Stage Management Internship program at Ballet San Jose. She is proud to say that over half of her past interns have moved onto becoming successful Stage Managers in the Bay Area.

She has also recreated props for Ballet San Jose School’s productions of Silly Simon, The Ugly Duckling and Tinderbox.

Outside of Ballet San Jose, Les has worked for CalShakes, American Conservatory Theater, Peninsula Ballet Theatre, the Magic Theater, and the pre-Broadway production of Baz Luhrmann’s La Bohème. She joined Actor’s Equity Association in 2004. Les is also the “Voice” of American Ice Theatre.

She holds a B.S. in Theatre: Design and Technology with concentrations in Stage Management and Costume Design from Ball State University.
