Established in 1996, Ballet San Jose School is the official school of
Ballet San Jose, and the exclusive American Ballet Theatre Certified
Institution on the west coast. Ballet SJ School is proud to include the
American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough
program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of
dancer health and child development. The ABT National Training Curriculum
consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based
guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance
students of all ages and skill levels.
Ballet San Jose School's mission is to foster the talent of school age to professional
students in a professional environment.
Ballet San Jose School is located at 40 North First Street, in downtown San Jose.
Five well-equipped, spacious studios feature state-of-the-art, dance-specific linoleum floors,
high ceilings, mirrored walls, and sound systems. Live accompaniment is provided for classes in the Pre-Professional
Division and Primary Divisions. The beautiful and historic building also houses the Ballet
San Jose Company, affording students the opportunity to observe professional dancers in
