Placement in the Pre-Professional Division, in the Summer Intensive, and in the ABT Young Dancer Workshop is by audition only. Students may register for the Primary Division, for Performance Camp and for the Fast Track Technique Workshop without an audition. Auditions require a completed Student Application Form, Audition Form and a $20 Audition Fee. Forms can be downloaded from our
documents tab. Please bring a headshot and a photo in first arabesque to the audition; professional photos are not required.
Ballet SJ School’s Bay Area Audition tour has concluded. Video auditions are accepted and private auditions may be scheduled. Auditions requests will be accepted until classes are filled.
Placement in the Pre-Professional Division of Ballet SJ School is by
audition only. Students ages 8 and up (by December 31, 2013), with
previous dance training, should audition for the Pre-Professional
Division. All students ages 8-10 will be accepted, space permitting, and
will be placed either into the Pre-Professional Division or into the
Primary Division, depending on their ability and development. Students
ages 3 - 10 with or without previous dance training may register for the
Primary Division without an audition. Please visit the

Students ages 17 and up who are interested in consideration for placement in the Ballet San Jose Trainee Program should attend the Ballet SJ School Summer Intensive. Qualified students may be able to schedule a private audition, and should inquire with the School Registrar for more information.
