Summer Intensive 2013: July 8 - August 2
The Ballet SJ School Summer Intensive provides high quality, pre-professional ballet training featuring the renowned American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. As the exclusive ABT Certified Institution on the west coast and as the official school of the Ballet San Jose, this premier summer intensive is a unique training experience for the intermediate and advanced dancer, age 11-19. Admission is by audition only, please visit the Audition tab for more information. Summer Intensive classes will be taught by Ballet SJ School's world-class ABT certified Faculty, by Ballet SJ Principal Ballet Master Raymond Rodriguez, by members of the professional company, and by experts in other forms of dance. Advanced level students will have the opportunity to work with notable nationally known artists, including choreographer Amy Seiwert and other special guest faculty to be announced. This year's enhanced Summer Intensive will feature a full day of classes for students in all levels, offering a core curriculum of classes in ballet technique, pointe or pre-pointe, men's class and variations, as well as classical and contemporary ballet repertoire. Additional classes may include partnering, modern, contemporary, character, strengthening, pilates and floor barre, to help students develop versatility in their dancing. Additionally, advanced level students who attend the 2013 Summer Intensive will be considered for placement in the Ballet SJ Trainee Program for the 2013 - 2014 Season. at Ballet San Jose: June 17 - 28

This workshop provides the opportunity for serious young dancers, ages 9 - 11, and 12 year olds at the beginning pointe level, to actively flourish in a professional, yet nurturing environment. Under the direction of Franco De Vita, Principal of ABT's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, the outstanding faculty members of ABT will provide unparalleled instruction while remaining sensitive to the developmental needs of young dancers. August 5 - 9

Performance Camp
Session 1 (Ages 5 - 7): June 10 - 14
Session 2 (Ages 5 - 10): August 5 - 9
A fun-filled dancing day camp for boys and girls, offering age and developmentally appropriate classes. No audition required. For more information including how to register, please download the Performance Camp brochure.
